Who We Are
The Chavurah represents all members that are committed to optimizing the quality of Jewish and non-Jewish social life in our Villages environment and to implement changes toward that effect.
We are here to serve our members where we all have the right to be treated with respect for each other and encourage all our members to participate on our Board or Committees; formed by and for people with common interests and shared goals. Those shared interests and goals are activated by our committed volunteers
The Chavurah attempts to create an attitude and atmosphere where we can work together to obtain the best member-to-member organization in this community.
What is a Chavurah?
A chavurah or havurah (חבורה Hebrew: "fellowship", plural chavurot) is a group of like-minded members who assemble for the purposes of facilitating primarily Jewish Heritage; sharing common experiences, lifecycle events, learning and other non-Jewish activities of common interests
Jewish fellowship, especially an informal one, that meets regularly for activities that can also combine a Jewish theme
A 'Jewish Support System' : Chavurot Offer People a Sense of Caring
We moved to the villages to have fun. We all are involved in many activities, clubs, sports, golfing, arts, etc. Yet we are looking for something to give us this sense of belonging. There are those that look to the future and want to have the relationship of friendship to be there for each other. Our vision for the Chavurah is all of the above.
We are a diverse group of: bankers, musicians, social workers, engineers, teachers, public servants, business owners, parents – united by our shared faith in Jewish traditions.
